Monday mornings are generally a time of great consternation and buzzkill, as millions of New Yorkers leave behind the leisure of the weekend and immerse themselves in the grind of the office. For this reason, tonight, parks in New York City will be offering a variety of fun and cultured events for local residents looking to enjoy the remainder of summer.
Bryant Park (42nd and Ave of Americas) from 6:00-7:30 pm, will be hosting a performance by the Jennifer Muller/the Works. This “world renowned contemporary dance company” not only reaches out to thousands of underprivileged New York City youth, but gives excellent performances.
Second, in Madison Square Park (23rd and Madison), there will be a sculpture display by Allison Saar. The art display will comprise of 6 pieces from this Los Angeles based artist’s Feallan and Fallow project. Tonight’s debut will launch the project, which will go until December 31st.
Lastly, in the Financial District, Andaz Wall Street will be hosting Oktoberfest on Wall Street. “Traditional Oktoberfest beers such as Spaten & Franziskaner will be served and paired with German influenced food” from 12-8pm at 75 Wall Street.
Parks in New York City will definitely be the place to be this week. Come experience some weekday leisure!
