Starting today, the South Street SeaportMuseum has re-launched the Mini Mate program. This initiative by the museum has had incredible success in the past. Teaming up with the Museum of the City of New York, the South Street Seaport Museum, which has re-opened since Hurricane Sandy, now starting back up its weekly classes for tots.
The “Mini Mates” series will be held Thursday morning, 10am at 12 Fulton Street. Your family’s little ones, ranging from 18 months and three years, will get to take part in crafts, music and movement activities at the Museum. After an hour and a half of hands on activities, your children will then be led by Museum educators in a variety of educational lessons ranging from boats and water to sea creatures and more.
Sign your children up now, as pre-registration is required. “Mini Mates” programs are $15 each, or $40 for a month of four consecutive programs that include activities, instruction and Light refreshments.
