As summer begins to fade into autumn, and we walk around Manhattan wearing our favorite outerwear, our cravings for the fun outdoor events of summer have yet to abandon our inward desires and sensibilities. Moreover, food underscores much of these contemplations of things to do this weekend.
However, as Manhattan-ites finalize their list of things to do this weekend, Taste of the Seaport and Good Food Fest are two events which should enter into consideration. If they have not already. Both begin on Sunday at 11 pm.
The Taste of the Seaport will take place at the Historic South Street Seaport grounds (4 blocks northeast of 2,3 Fulton Street Train Stops). Tickets bought in advance are $25 while those bought the day of are $30, covering 5 tastings. All proceeds will help fund early education enrichment programs at Spruce Street School, P.S. 397.
The Good Food Fest will take place at Gansevoort and Little West 12th streets (6 blocks SW of 14st A,C train stop and 8th Ave L train stop). It is free to visit the market but will cost $20-75 for tastings.
Already your “Manhattan things to do” List is looking more appetizing!
