With the 2011 Lower Manhattan Christmas just five days away, many of you holiday fiends have already had every gift and event planned out before most people knew where they were going to be for Thanksgiving. Meanwhile us work-a-holics are realizing that little time is left to get into thee ole’ spirit.
But have no fear! Thanks to some very cool event listings by the Downtown Alliance on their website, your 2011 Lower Manhattan Christmas still has much in store in the draining few days. But time is ticking, so let’s get to it!
This Friday at South Street Seaport, Chorus Tree will take place at 6 and 7 pm, with a host of Christmas tunes being sung by local choirs. Chorus Tree will also take place on Saturday at 3 and 4 pm. The fun continues with Santa sleigh rides at the Wall Street. This fun filled experience will continue until the 26th.
For those looking for more religious and reverent 2011 Lower Manhattan Christmas celebrations, there’s something for you too!
This coming Saturday at the Trinity Church, a Christmas Eve service will be held at 4 pm complete with a sermon, a youth choir and the Eucharist. The holy rollin’ continues on at the St. Paul Church as they host their annual midnight service from 11:30pm -12:30 am with a sermon, Eucharist, special music, and candlelight vigil.
